The Blues will be looking to make it two from two this season as they return to their old stomping ground

Tonight's game against Ulster will see Martyn Williams start for Cardiff Blues for the second time  since recovering from a broken arm which left him on the sidelines for almost five months.

Williams will start at openside tonight as a late replacement for Josh Navidi, who pulled out with a bruised hip. The Blues will also see international trio Lloyd Williams, Scott Andrews and Gavin Henson return from Six Nations duty.

Cardiff Blues scrum-half Richie Rees is set to return for the Magners League clash against the Ospreys tomorrow.

Having missed the entire Six Nations campaign, Richie Rees will make his first start since his 12-week ban started at the beginning of January.

Rees was suspended after being found guilty of foul play, having made contact with the eye area of England international Dylan Hartley during the Northampton Saints Heineken Cup match in December.

The scrum-half's return is a timely boost for the Blues, as both they and the Ospreys have labelled their Magners League clash at the Liberty Stadium as a “must win” game.

The 16-15 defeat leaves the Blues in fifth place, and their next fixture is a crucial Welsh derby away to fellow title-chasers the Ospreys.

Xavier Rush speaks ahead of Friday's fixture claiming "in terms of getting into the playoffs, the Edinburgh game is crucial."

Cardiff Blues number eight Xavier Rush has said their match against Edinburgh will be "crucial" to their hopes of winning the Magners League.

Rush was part of the Blues side who lost 32-13 in Ulster last week, and the bulldozing New Zealander is keen to make up for the defeat when they travel to Murrayfield on Friday.
