But Sunday’s Walk for life, organised by Kidney Wales Foundation, with its bright outfits and turnout of around 250 people, was difficult to miss.
 

As spring creeps in, groups walking Cardiff’s parks are not an odd sight.

But Sunday’s Walk for life, organised by Kidney Wales Foundation, with its bright outfits and turnout of around 250 people, was difficult to miss.

The event, starting at pub, Y Mochyn Du, and ending at Cardiff castle, was organised to raise money and awareness about kidney problems.

This comes at a topical moment. With the Welsh Assembly’s new extended powers, some are questioning if Wales can be more active in supporting those affected by kidney problems.

Tickets went on sale yesterday for the 2012 Olympic Games, but fans have been warned by the London Organising Committee about ticket fraud.

Tickets for one of the world's greatest sporting events went on sale last night and sport fans have been warned about the dangers of ticket fraud ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games, which will start in Cardiff next summer.

The Games will kick off with a women's football match at the Millennium Stadium on July 25, before the Opening Ceremony takes place at London's Olympic Stadium on July 27.
