Cardiff Council is continuing its campaign against litter by highlighting the impact of smoking-related litter in the city.
The council's waste education team held a road show in Queen Street today, where they provided information about dealing with the problem and handed out portable ashtrays.
There was a 25 per cent increase in streets affected by smoking-related litter in Cardiff between 2008-9 and 2009-10, though dropping a cigarette butt can earn you an on the spot fine of £75. Other main sources of litter are animal waste and food wrappers.
