Natural World: Queen of the Savannahis a documentary which may give make you pause for thought before tucking into your honey on toast in the morning.
Narrated by comedienne Tamsin Greig, the programme provides an interesting insight into the adventures of an African honeybee colony and its quest to protect its queen from both the harsh Savannah elements and various intruders, including man.
Though for the most part it is well produced, with careful slow motion and high resolution shots, there are some which seem unnecessarily arty.
