A new charity which teaches social skills to young people while they man a 72 foot racing yacht is about to qualify to teach the gold residential Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The charity, Challenge Wales, which has been based in Penarth Marina since February 2009 has already attained approval for bronze and silver, and is just a signature away from reaching the gold.
The voluntary group works with young people from 12 to 25, helping them to broaden their horizons and improve their future employability, regardless of their background.
