Alex Cuthbert and Lloyd Williams welcomed back to team after Grand Slam victory

The Cardiff Blues welcome two Grand Slam stars back to the starting line-up to face the Llanelli Scarlets tomorrow evening.

Alex Cuthbert, winning try-scorer against France, is back on the wing while Lloyd Williams starts at scrum-half. Unfortunately, the four other Blues representatives in Wales’s Grand Slam winning side will not be running out against the Scarlets with Leigh Halfpenny out with a dead leg, Gethin Jenkins out with a shoulder injury and Jamie Roberts, who has not been picked for the match.

Well, well, well. Good morning Cardiff - how’s the head? It’s been a grand slamming weekend, hasn’t it? Wales coach Warren Gatland has urged his team not to underestimate Italy on Saturday as Wales push to set up a Grand Slam show down with France.

Warren Gatland has promised his side will be “brimming with ruthless intent” as they welcome Italy to the Millennium Stadium tomorrow.

After securing the Triple Crown with a late 19-12 win over England at Twickenham, Wales are just two wins away from a third Grand Slam in eight years.

But before a potential Six Nations decider with the French, Gatland’s side must get over the tricky hurdle of the Italians.

Sam Warburton has been ruled out of Wales's Six Nations clash with Italy on Saturday due to knee injury so Gethin Jenkins will captain the side.

Sam Warburton has been ruled out of Wales’s penultimate match in the Six Nations against Italy with a knee problem.

The Cardiff Blues openside was expected to start against the Azzurri and was set to face a back row showdown with Sergio Parisse but it is believed Gatland wants his captain fit for Wales’s final game against France in Cardiff.

Cardiff Blues' stars urge children to swap crisps and chocolate for fruit and vegetables in a new youth initiative in conjunction with South Wales Police.

Cardiff Blues have teamed up with South Wales Police to help launch a new youth engagement initiative called Cop Trumps.

The Cop Trump collectors' cards feature Blues players and carry messages about online safety, personal safety, keeping healthy and being a good person.

The 16st 9lb Jamie Roberts carries a message about swapping crisps and chocolate for fruit and vegetables while Sam Warburton, whose power level is set at 10, looks down from his card to say, “make sure homework is done”.

Wales may reflect on this year’s Six Nations with regrets, but Cardiff Blues centre Dafydd Hewitt is only looking forward when it comes to his own international hopes.

Wales may reflect on this year’s Six Nations with regrets, but Cardiff Blues centre Dafydd Hewitt is only looking forward when it comes to his own international hopes.

Hewitt has excelled for the Blues this season, impressing both with his powerful running and stoic defence.

And having shone in the absence of Welsh international Jamie Roberts, Hewitt has made a convincing case for a first Wales call-up.

Ambitious yet humble, however, Hewitt is under no illusions about the competition he faces for the prized red jersey.

Discipline will be key as Wales look to end history of home defeats to Ireland

Wales will look to break a dismal home record against Ireland in an attempt to keep their Six Nations title aspirations alive.

With France beaten at Twickenham in the last round of fixtures and England still to travel to Dublin - a trip they have traditionally found difficult - Warren Gatland's men still have an outside chance of snatching the title, but to do so they must end a run which has seen Saturday's visitors lose just once in Cardiff since 1983.

Stephen Jones drops to the bench to make room for Hook's reintroduction at 10, while Leigh Halfpenny returns from injury to replace Morgan Stoddart on the wing.

Recent history does not read well for the Red Rose nation, who have not won in Cardiff since 2003.

After a fortnight of talking, Wales and England face a game which could define their respective seasons.

In his two biggest selection calls, Warren Gatland has chosen Ospreys Paul James and Craig Mitchell as his props in place of injured first-choice pair Gethin Jenkins and Adam Jones.
