The kit, designed by Stella McCartney, was launched yesterday at the Tower of London at an exclusive reveal to the media.

The new sports gear has been met with mixed emotions from the public due to its heavy use of blue and dark indigo. Critics have commented the kit looks overly Scottish as the colour red has even been omitted from the Union Jack motifs.

“Has the Big Yin lost his mojo?” and “did you hear the one about the comedian who forgot how to laugh?” were just some of the headlines plaguing Billy Connolly at the start of his latest tour.

Sarah Millican's panel show is a slap-dash hybrid between a dull chat show and a lacklustre stand up routine.

Sarah Millican must have been so excited at getting her own show she forgot to give it a title.

It’s just as well as there are no words to describe this slap-dash mix of chat show and stand-up, complete with bizarre audience participation and a turn from Millican’s dad.

For the former a “Millicam” is passed around into which an elderly audience member is encouraged to tell us how she would most like to commit bestiality. With a lion apparently.

Frankie Boyle has been told he is still not welcome at the Cardiff Millennium Centre after his controversial comments about autistic children.

The Scottish comedian was initially banned from the centre last year after an offensive joke regarding Katie Price’s son Harvey, who is blind and suffers from autism.

It seems that folk music is making a comeback. No longer do we think of dreadlocked hippies singing protest songs. Folk is re-inventing itself as a dynamic and popular genre.

Starting a new sport is not easy, but after a rocky road towards existence, Cardiff Handball Club is hoping to break into the British league system.

THERE is one question about sport most Europeans in the UK ask themselves.

It is not about the alien nature of rugby, nor the pub sports or the cricket. Rather, it is about the seeming non-existence of one of Europe’s most popular ball games in such an otherwise complete sporting nation. Where is the handball?

Caerau’s Western Leisure Centre hosted roughly 400 entrants from across England and Wales on Sunday, and was heaving with fiercely proud parents. Teeming with busy, breathing individuals, the centre of Cardiff is known for its sense of life. So to attend a night there dedicated to the dead is an unusual experience.

But as I enter the Central Library for a mediumship night on Friday, the mood is far from ghoulish. The sold-out crowd of 150 buzzes with curiosity.

Martin Harrison and Moya O’ Dyer, mediums from the Academy of Psychic and Spiritual Studies in Swansea, make a light-hearted start. Moya gently warns people to turn off phones so she can hear from the dead, not Orange.
