Residents have launched an appeal to the High Court against Cardiff Council's decision not to prevent a school being built on Rumney recreation ground.


The RREEL action group (Rumney Rec and Eastern Leisure) made an application for a judicial review on March 21, disputing the council's decision not to award village green status to the green space in Llanrumney.

The appeal follows the result of a public inquiry chaired by independent inspector QC Leslie Blohm, who campaigners say ignored evidence from residents.

I will be voting Yes in today's referendum. I will do so proud to be Welsh and proud also to be British. I will not be casting my vote for independence for Wales nor for the first step along that route. Ms Lucas, who holds the only seat for the Green Party in Westminster, addressed party members ahead of May's Assembly election where they hope to win their first seat in Wales.

Jake Griffiths, leader of the Welsh Green Party will be standing for South Wales Central and Penarth, joining four other Green candidates across the five electoral regions.
