Jones and Warburton given the chance to impress in crunch-game at Murrayfield

ALUN Wyn Jones and Sam Warburton have been included in the starting line-up for Wales’s game against Scotland on Saturday, but Ryan Jones retains the captaincy.
The reshuffle means two of Wales’s most promising performers in this season’s Six Nations, Andrew Coombs and Justin Tipuric, drop to the bench for the game at Murrayfield. Paul James replaces the injured Gethin Jenkins in the front row in the only other change to the team.

Sam Warburton has been ruled out of Wales’s penultimate match in the Six Nations against Italy with a knee problem.

The Cardiff Blues openside was expected to start against the Azzurri and was set to face a back row showdown with Sergio Parisse but it is believed Gatland wants his captain fit for Wales’s final game against France in Cardiff.

Ill discipline must be curbed says coach

Welsh Coach Warren Gatland has warned his players against any further ill discipline as he prepares his side to take on Scotland in the Six Nations.

Bradley Davies’s sin binning against Ireland last week was just one of a number of yellow cards which have hindered Wales in recent times and Gatland has had enough.

The New Zealander has admitted his warnings have had no effect on the squad and has threatened his players with financial penalties if it happens again.

Despite a fleeting hope of a win in their second game against South Africa, Wales’s performance took a considerable nosedive in the games to follow - perhaps most embarrassingly of all, only managing to secure a draw against the Fijians.
