Alex Cuthbert and Lloyd Williams welcomed back to team after Grand Slam victory

The Cardiff Blues welcome two Grand Slam stars back to the starting line-up to face the Llanelli Scarlets tomorrow evening.

Alex Cuthbert, winning try-scorer against France, is back on the wing while Lloyd Williams starts at scrum-half. Unfortunately, the four other Blues representatives in Wales’s Grand Slam winning side will not be running out against the Scarlets with Leigh Halfpenny out with a dead leg, Gethin Jenkins out with a shoulder injury and Jamie Roberts, who has not been picked for the match.

8,000 fans joined the Senedd yesterday in celebrating Wales's rugby victory in Cardiff Bay

Around 8,000 fans – many of them children – made their way to Cardiff Bay yesterday to celebrate Wales’s Grand Slam glory with their heroes.

Despite the chilly conditions, spirits were still high after Warren Gatland’s men had disappeared inside the Senedd for an official reception with Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler.

Stragglers continued to wave their flags as they trudged home, with murmurs of Hymns and Arias and We Are the Champions echoing into the darkening skies.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has urged his team not to underestimate Italy on Saturday as Wales push to set up a Grand Slam show down with France.

Warren Gatland has promised his side will be “brimming with ruthless intent” as they welcome Italy to the Millennium Stadium tomorrow.

After securing the Triple Crown with a late 19-12 win over England at Twickenham, Wales are just two wins away from a third Grand Slam in eight years.

But before a potential Six Nations decider with the French, Gatland’s side must get over the tricky hurdle of the Italians.

Sam Warburton has been ruled out of Wales's Six Nations clash with Italy on Saturday due to knee injury so Gethin Jenkins will captain the side.

Sam Warburton has been ruled out of Wales’s penultimate match in the Six Nations against Italy with a knee problem.

The Cardiff Blues openside was expected to start against the Azzurri and was set to face a back row showdown with Sergio Parisse but it is believed Gatland wants his captain fit for Wales’s final game against France in Cardiff.

Cardiff Blues' stars urge children to swap crisps and chocolate for fruit and vegetables in a new youth initiative in conjunction with South Wales Police.

Cardiff Blues have teamed up with South Wales Police to help launch a new youth engagement initiative called Cop Trumps.

The Cop Trump collectors' cards feature Blues players and carry messages about online safety, personal safety, keeping healthy and being a good person.

The 16st 9lb Jamie Roberts carries a message about swapping crisps and chocolate for fruit and vegetables while Sam Warburton, whose power level is set at 10, looks down from his card to say, “make sure homework is done”.

Having already secured the Triple Crown, Wales's attentions will now be focused on securing the Grand Slam. Huw Silk looks back at the previous Welsh sides able to complete an unlikely white-wash.

When video referee Iain Ramage uttered the word "inconclusive" just after 5.30pm on Saturday evening Wales's 20th Triple Crown was sealed and, crucially, the illusive Grand Slam title came one step closer.

England winger David Strettle’s score was disallowed, giving Sam Warburton the first piece of silverware of his short international captaincy. Thrilling wins over Ireland in Dublin, Scotland in Cardiff and the biggest scalp of all, the 19-12 triumph over England at Twickenham, have set Wales up for their third slam in eight years.

Huw Silk takes an alternative view at tomorrow's Six Nations clash.

BBC pundit Jonathan Davies, who inspired Wales to their last-but-one win at Twickenham, has already predicted his nation will “absolutely smash” England. Colleague Brian Moore agrees, declaring Sam Warburton’s men to be “clear favourites”.

As the teams head for Twickenham and the third round of this season’s Six Nations’ Championship, pundits and fans alike have been furiously poring over form and news of injuries in a bid to call how the game will go.

Ill discipline must be curbed says coach

Welsh Coach Warren Gatland has warned his players against any further ill discipline as he prepares his side to take on Scotland in the Six Nations.

Bradley Davies’s sin binning against Ireland last week was just one of a number of yellow cards which have hindered Wales in recent times and Gatland has had enough.

The New Zealander has admitted his warnings have had no effect on the squad and has threatened his players with financial penalties if it happens again.

While the future of the Ospreys looks increasingly dismal following the departure of two of their star players, the Blues have secured yet another contract.

Welsh winger Tom James has followed in the footsteps of fellow Wales international Sam Warburton and agreed a new contract extension with the Blues on Tuesday.

But as the Blues squad looks increasingly strong for next season, the Ospreys future remains uncertain, having lost two key players in James Hook and Lee Byrne to French regions, and there are rumours of more to follow.
