In Canton you’ll find many Chinese restaurants. The streets are filled with the heavy smell of vegetable oil, shouting hawkers at customers and waiters, and the deep taste of oriental cuisine to soak the palate.

That is in Canton province, Guangdong, China.

James Chapple gives paws for thought with five bear necessities for the weekend playlist

The Two Bears - Bear Hug
Destined to be a floor filler, Bear Hug is as much a monsterous tune as it is an ode to the value of human companionship. Mind the claws on the dance floor though!

Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks
Perhaps the Grizzlys’ most forward pop moment to date, Two Weeks’s blissful harmonies and plinky piano make it a feel good classic.

Wales may reflect on this year’s Six Nations with regrets, but Cardiff Blues centre Dafydd Hewitt is only looking forward when it comes to his own international hopes.

Hewitt has excelled for the Blues this season, impressing both with his powerful running and stoic defence.

And having shone in the absence of Welsh international Jamie Roberts, Hewitt has made a convincing case for a first Wales call-up.

Ambitious yet humble, however, Hewitt is under no illusions about the competition he faces for the prized red jersey.

The lead had been taken off the roof of St Saviours Church in Splott,  but was left on the pathway by the church.

Father Dean Atkins said: "It seems they were interrupted by something. The lead is very heavy and certainly takes more than one man to carry away.

"I haven't got a clue how much it is worth. People in the  church are looking to report it to the insurance company so it must be worth quite a bit.

I will be voting Yes in today's referendum. I will do so proud to be Welsh and proud also to be British. I will not be casting my vote for independence for Wales nor for the first step along that route. Rather I will be voting to ensure that Welsh Assembly members are given the ability to determine devolved areas of responsibility in our Senedd.

When Steve Garrett agreed to stand for Plaid Cymru in the forthcoming Riverside by-election, he would have expected the usual competition from candidates of other parties.

What the founder of the Riverside Market may not have expected, however, was to see the name of a colleague on the ballot sheet.

The Liberal Democrats named Gwilym Owen as their candidate to replace the outgoing Councillor Gwenllian Lansdown, pitting Steve against the man who has run the Riverside Market’s website for the past seven years.
